Dr. Piero Di Lorenzo, President and CEO of IRBM (the Molecular Biological Research Institute), based in Pomezia (Rome), inspires a new, cautious optimism to TG5 Special: “We have been manufacturing the coronavirus vaccine for 10 days, we believe that we will have enough doses for testing in mice by May, and for clinical trials by June. […] Our partner, the Jenner Institute of Oxford University, gives us strength and confidence, thanks to its experience in coronavirus. On the other hand, we have gained a relevant experience with the vaccine for Ebola, and we will follow the same path”.
