“The vaccine developed in Italy by Advent-IRBM, with the Jenner Institute of Oxford University, is going to be tested on humans at the end of the month”. Piero Di Lorenzo, President and CEO of IRBM, has announced yesterday. The Italian company based in Pomezia (Rome) operates in the field of drug discovery and it’s already known for the Ebola vaccine manufacture. Two women are leading the researchers teams committed to coronavirus vaccine development: Prof. Sarah Gilbert from Oxford and Stefania di Marco from Pomezia (Rome). Matteo Liguori, Managing Director of IRBM, explains: “The success of this operation is estimated at 80%, which is very encouraging for manufacturing this kind of vaccine and at the current stage”.
