The CEO of Advent (Pomezia, Rome): “Clinical trial only in Oxford for now”
Two months ago, Piero Di Lorenzo, CEO of Advent (Pomezia, Rome), announced clinical trial within this summer. He kept his word: “In two weeks we are transferring the first batch of the vaccine, a thousand doses, to Oxford, where clinical trials will start […]. We are lucky to collaborate with the Jenner Institute of Oxford University, one of the most relevant centres in the world. […] We used the advantage of two expertises already tested in humans: the Jenner’s one against Mers […] and our platform already used to validate the Ebola vaccine. This allows us to move faster ”. Di Lorenzo outlines the mood in Pomezia’s labs: “We don’t have time to be happy neither. We have been working tirelessly. […] Our experts’ work has been excellent and priceless.”
