Covid, a young international team: that’s how Pomezia works on the vaccine

They have played a key role in the development of the Covid-19 vaccine, after the Jenner Institute (expert in coronavirus) sent them the viral inoculum and asked them for help. IRBM in Pomezia (Rome) has in fact a great experience in adenovirus, the viral vector. «We are producing and shipping the doses: phase III is underway» say Piero Di Lorenzo, President of IRBM, «if everything goes as planned, and it’s a big if, the first doses could be available in Italy between November and December».
